One of the more intriguing events coming up has a 17 year history. The Sunset Sessions boosted the early careers of such notable acts as The Black Keys and Jason Mraz. Industry vet Michele Clark has been curating the event for all those years, and has brought in legacy artists such as Stevie Nicks and Carlos Santana. The purpose of the gathering is for all players in the music business foodchain to rub shoulders. Attending will be record labels, radio station programmers, music supervisors, managers, agents and artists.

Other artists who have participated early in their careers include Matchbox Twenty, Jack Johnson, David Grey, Maroon 5, , Jason Mraz, Norah Jones, Jewel, James Blunt, FUN., Coldplay Train, The Zac Brown Band, Edwin McCain, John Mayer, Hootie & The Blowfish, Colbie Caillat, Nickelcreek, FUN., The Parlotones, Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn, Duncan Sheik, Five for Fighting, among dozens of others.

The event has moved south, and attendees from all over the globe will be thawing out in the SoCal weather when not attending the sessions. Given that the performances are packed with decision makers, artists give it their all. The Belly Up will be hosting, with gigs open to the public. The lineup is formidable: Ziggy Marley, The Hold Steady, Jeremy Messersmith, Aurora Barnes, Dez Money, Kodaline, NeedtoBreathe and more.
